Where I’m Coming From, Where You’re Going

My name is Mike Booth. Suddenly it occurs to me that I should be doing something besides publishing snide comments on Facebook. I should explain my skewed vision of the world, skewed because, though I was born and raised in the USA, I have lived permanently in Spain since 1968. In 1983 I was granted Spanish nationality. Spain is different. Europe is different. And they’ve made me different.

I want to share with you here my views on who’s doing what to whom, how they’re doing it and how they’re able to get away with it. Where are they coming from and where are they likely to take us (you and me) in the short, medium and long-term future, if there is a long-term future? I’ll be brief, sincere and frank. I don’t have time to beat around the bush. I don’t have an agenda—keeping in mind that everyone has an agenda, whether they know it, or admit it, or not.

There are a lot of dangerously twisted minds on the loose out there, most of them in suits, many of them in positions of awesome power. I’ll do my best to describe the worst of them, an exercise in “know your enemy,” if you will. If I can be a positive influence on a single young mind I’ll be satisfied.
